Enjoy your holiday in traditional islander's waterways of Lake Saimaa, the largest lake in Finland and the fourth largest natural freshwater lake in Europe. Once formed by glacial melting at the end of the Ice Age, most of the lake is spotted with islands and narrow canals. While in the area, lucky visitors may spot an endangered freshwater seal, the Saimaa Ringed Seal that only lives at Lake Saimaa.
