Metsälinna dance pavillion

Social dancing to live music is an integral part of the Finnish culture, especially in the summer. Dances were very popular in the 50s and 60s, and those nostalgic days are ever-present in Metsälinna, a wooden dance pavillion located in a beautiful setting in Ristiina. It was recently voted as one of the most beautiful dance pavillions in Finland.

Metsälinna, which translates to "Castle in the forest", hasn't lost any of its charm. Each summer Sunday Finns aged 18-80 from all walks of life flock to Metsälinna to tango, waltz, foxtrot and humppa the night away to live music.

There is an entrance fee which varies with each artist, and refreshments are sold.

Each summer Sunday starting mid-June until end of September.
